Dock Jumping Class
Dock jumping is a performance sport where dogs jump off a dock into a pool during hosted events. Dock Jumping lessons are offered in the categories of Distance Jumping, Catch-It (catching a toy or bumper in the air during the distance jump) and Fetch-It which is taking down a bumper suspended 4 feet over the water at a distance of 12’ to 30’ away from the dock.
Students should bring a buckle collar and cotton or nylon leash plus a floatable toy. Wear clothing that you won’t mind getting wet. Come prepared to get in the pool if your dog needs to learn to swim. (A changing room is available to go from street clothes to swimsuit).
Our next 4 week session of Group DOCK JUMPING classes will begin in 2025, with the starting date being announced sometime in May 2025. Keep watching for updates as the exact date will be posted as soon as weather permits! Beginner dog class starts at 6:00 pm and advanced jump class (for dogs already jumping off the dock) begins at 7:30 pm. These classes will meet for 4 weeks at the cost of $200. (Beginner dog handlers should bring clothing to wear in the pool to assist your dog if necessary.)
