Ekon with his TWO High-in-Trial Ribbons earned in one day!
“Ekon” is an outstanding competition dog, out of our dam "Luna" (the UKC’s first Dutch Shepherd SUPERDOG who was also the first dog of any breed to title in every UKC all-breed performance event) and our superior stud dog “Lothar”, sire of 25 Police K-9s.
Ekon would have made an exceptional Police K-9 as well, but after he was returned to us as a puppy because "he lacked drive", although it’s impossible for us to see what drive he’s lacking! Cher Car Kennels co-owner Lori Webster recognized his tremendous potential and kept him as her personal competition dog. He is agile, has a tremendous desire to please Lori in any competitive venture she asks of him!

Ekon is a Multiple HIGH-in-TRIAL winning competitor in Nosework who has earned the highest title of ELITE NOSEWORK (a combination of 30 lesser titles). He is also titled in UKC Rally Obedience, is a Grand Champion Master Dock Jumper and Elite Fetch-It competitor and a Champion Shed Dog Hunter.
Ekon is also a multiple award-winning protection dog competitor. He possesses tremendous ball drive and is strong and powerful with the decoy (having won hardest-hitting contests too).
We really like Ekon's muscular frame and masculine head. He is a joy to work with, very biddable, never tough to the handler. We are very excited to see what this boy does to continue our traditions here!
